Special Communication Organization (SCO) is a Full Services Operator (FSO), SCO is relentlessly offering state of the art fixed and mobile retail services, long distance and international wholesale services, enterprise solutions and hosting/colocations services to its customers in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
SCO was using public DNS for resolving DNS queries for their customers exposing its entire traffic to a public DNS with no security provisions. Due to these concerns SCO was facing numerous issues such as slow browsing, loss of control over their internet traffic, no presence as an ISP and their network/user was prone to malware fraud issues raising serious concerns over their network
GBT along with its partners installed and migrated an existing PLDT outsource DNS solution to a new state-of-the-art DNS infrastructure to optimize traffic, synchronize blacklisting of IPs whilst satisfying local regulatory compliances.
DNS solutions based on BIND technology are vulnerable towards DDoS and other service denial attacks which are an easy target for hackers and miscreants. Our DNS solution offers a military grade CentOS kernel as standard and has had no record of critical vulnerabilities in the past 3 years. The implementation of DNS cache has helped SCO to reduce internet latency by 50% , improve the reliability, and security of their network, while also reducing the overall load on the network and improving the user experience.
